At the start of every university year a big part of the build up is how to decorate your room.

Colour in your home: Green

Green is a tranquil, refreshing and works in any room of the house.

Flowers are an obvious and easy way to get green into your room. Potted plants are simple and mostly easy to maintain. But if you want something a little more unique make your own miniature gardens. All you need is a jar, soil and some small plants or cacti.

Left over paint?

Some fun up-cycling ideas to use your left over paint on.

1) Paint some jars!

Make yourself some fun bright jars and glass bottles to make vases, stationary pots and candle holders! You can also paint the outside of tins!

2) Give your old furniture new life!

Colour in your home: Blue

Blue is a calming relaxing colour, but you have to be careful that the lighter blues don’t make your room feel cold. You need to find a happy medium between to cold of a blue and too dark of a blue that will give the feeling of sadness.
