The latest craze is panelling. Everyone is doing it and I’m even including a lot of panelling in the hotel project that I am designing at work. This isn’t going to be a post about how to do it… you can go on Youtube for that… I’ve just picked some of my favourite traditional and modern takes on this way of adding a little extra to your walls.
Firstly, a more traditional linear panel – this is a perfect option when you want to add colour to a room but not too much. It also make the room feel taller and works with this mid-century cot so well!
Another traditional style. But this one is a lot more simple. This one is easy to re-create in your own home.
Getting a little more modern with this one. The alignment of the panels lift the more traditional panelling and give it a funky touch. Especially enjoy the paint colour that has been chosen.
The addition of a dado rail to this panelling is another simple and easy trick to get the traditional look in your modern home.
Love this modern take on panelling! Also the warm green, one of my favourite colours, lifts the timber on the console.
The final look is this ultra modern panelling on the headboard! It looks amazing and another simple to trick to lift the design of a room.
So those are just a few of my favourite different takes on the traditional panelling that everyone is doing atm. Hopefully gives you some ideas on something a little different and something that will suit any style of house.
